How to get involved
In its first year of operation, the Cathedral Center anticipates upwards of 200,000 visitors. These are visitors who want to know: Who created the Stations of the Cross? Where do I meet up for my 1:00 PM tour? When does the next shuttle leave for the Festival of Light? What time will the Cathedral Shop open? From the first dedication events in September through the continuing need to develop a corps of dedicated docents, ministry volunteers will provide information and hospitality to thousands of visitors. Click through to find out more.
Our Points of Light ministry volunteers will often be the first stop for visitors, at a centrally located information desk and will also provide administrative support behind the scenes.
Bearers of Light are those committed, well-trained docents, actively guiding visitors through the wonderful history, theology and sacred art of the Cathedral and its surroundings.

Behind the scenes ministry volunteers may be more adept and comfortable helping with data processing, filing and all of the essential office tasks that support a thriving volunteer program.
